My First Blog

Posted: 11 April 2020

My first blog post on this site is about how many time’s I have changed the look and feel of it!

I have been wanting to start a blog for a very long time but never got around to creating it. I wanted to practise my Frontend Development skills and what’s the first thing I could think of? Creating a blog.

I had been toying with the idea of writing things about my programming, learning and tech related stuff but I am feeling very defined by the keys on a keyboard rather than who I am as a person.

The way I am going to change this up is by not talking about programming and leaving all of that talk to my conversations with fellow developers and colleagues!

If you have read the about me section on my homepage you’ll already know my name is Tom Brooks and I am based in the East Midlands! I moved her to be with the love of my life! It was an easy decision to make when I had been with her for 2 years already and we had lived together whilst we were at Uni!

I think the hardest thing about moving was losing touch with all my friends. I have still got my beef… I mean best mates on speed dial when I need them but I can’t exactly ask them top “nip to the pub” or “have a jam” when we feel like it. I couldn’t even be bothered walking 10/15 minutes to my best mates house before I moved never mind driving or travelling on the train for 2-3 hours each way!

The best thing about moving was having no one around, we live in a very rural area so we don’t really have anyone bothering us! We have also got the beautiful countryside at our disposal. My partners family are amazing and I really enjoy being around them so that is a plus!

My aim for the next few months is to rediscover myself and get my fun personality back! After all the damage I’ve had over the past 10 years it’s made me feel bitter and I can come across wrong!

But anyway, I’ve been rambling on for too long now! I will let you get on with your day and I hope you come back to read the next post!

Oh, before you actually go I will be putting a quote I like in every post! Bye!

Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.
